study
during the summer months and into the autumn, i am planning a number of events; seminars, workshops and short courses here at dawlton barn. situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty along the north downs it is ideally suited to access the developing creative hubs of whitstable, ramsgate and folkestone as well as the southern parts of london and wider south east england.
courses are available for creatives looking to work alongside other artists in fostering a dialogue about your practice, presenting and creating new work through intensive instructed and self directed sessions. at all the study events at dawlton barn you will be asked to submit work in advance and identify what you are looking to leave with; your learning agenda for acquiring new skills, knowledge or experiences. this informs the final design and delivery so that it is relevant to each participant and each cohort has a unique artistic and learning experience with me.
events are delivered in a serviced marquee in the grounds of dawlton barn, about 4 acres of lawn, developing orchard and meadow. seminars are managed with a maximum of twenty people, cohorts are kept to a maximum of twelve people, larger by negotiation if an existing group. depending on which event you are attending. catering is offered on some events and will be included in the cost. the village of elmsted has a number of award winning b&b's so accommodation partners are listed in the course material and links page if you want to make a break of it.
